U13 Comet Fusion Named Team of the Month

The U13 Comet Fusion team has been proudly awarded "Team of the Month" through our partnership with the Saskatoon Blades and the Blades Beyond the Rink program.

This recognition is a direct result of the Fusion’s dedicated focus on player development, team bonding, and their heartwarming efforts to spread joy within the community. Whether honing their skills on the ice or crafting gifts for others off of it, this group has shown what it truly means to be a team.

Their recent initiatives demonstrate a profound commitment to community and character:

  • Growth on the Ice: The team’s hard work during practices is paying off, with significant improvements in passing and positioning. Their competitive spirit shone through at their first tournament in Allan, SK, where they secured three wins out of five games.

  • Spreading Christmas Cheer: After spending their tournament breaks crafting handmade ornaments, the girls visited the Saskatoon Convalescent Home to help decorate their Christmas trees. They shared their crafts, sang "Happy Birthday" to a resident turning 97, and swapped hockey stories with their new fans.

  • Building Team Culture: From playing volleyball around the rink to cheering on fellow Comet teams, the Fusion players are prioritizing friendship and fun, representing their zone with respect and positive attitudes.

Congratulations to the U13 Comet Fusion team on this well-deserved honour!
