Focus: Fun, movement, coordination, confidence, and love of the game.
Soccer is introduced through play-based, station-style activities.


U7 – Active Start → FUNdamentals

New this year: Players may choose Community OR Competitive soccer and are not required to participate in both.
Competitive players participate in the Forge Spring Soccer League.


U11 – Learn to Train

  • Competitive Stream: Celtic  Competitive Program / Forge Program

Focus: Skill execution under pressure, physical development, and tactical awareness.
Players may be grouped flexibly to ensure appropriate challenge and development.


U15 – Train to Train

Birth Years: 2011–2012

  • LTPD Stage: Train to Train

  • Community Stream: Soccer for Life (regional play, travel required)

  • Competitive Stream: Celtic Competitive Program / Forge Program 

  • High Performance Stream: External HP opportunities where applicable

Competitive teams may:

  • Participate in structured league play

  • Enter tournaments

  • Be encouraged to compete in 11-a-side Provincials


U17 – Train to Train

Focus: Consistency, tactical understanding, physical readiness, leadership, and preparation for future pathways.


Key Pathway Principles

  • Players move through stages based on development, not just age

  • Movement between Community and Competitive pathways is supported and encouraged

  • Development is prioritized over early selection or short-term results

  • All programming is science-informed and aligned with Canada Soccer standards

Players may be invited to train or play in older age groups when appropriate. In these cases, learning opportunities and expectations from the older age group may apply.
