Player Programs – Overview

All Weyburn Soccer programs are science-informed and aligned with Canada Soccer’s Grassroots Standards and Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) model. Our Community and Competitive pathways are intentionally designed around how players learn, grow, and enjoy the game at each stage of development.

Community programs provide inclusive, development-focused environments for all players, emphasizing skill development, enjoyment, and long-term participation.
Competitive programs offer increased training frequency and structured competition for players seeking additional challenge, while still prioritizing development over short-term results.

New this year, with the addition of the Forge Spring Soccer LeagueU9 players may choose either Community or Competitive soccer and are not required to participate in both programs.
