Scorekeeping are an essential part of WESA and Scorekeeper knowledge is an essential part of WESA Membership. This course is for those members learning the basics, including Rookies learning as part of the Softball Essentials program, and for Coach Squad members earning their Scorekeeping milestone.
All WESA Members should know how to keep score of a game. Indeed, understanding the Scorekeeping process is an essential part of gaining a solid understanding of how the game operates.

What does a Scorekeeper do?
A Scorekeeper makes a record of what happens during a game. Each time a player comes up to bat, a record is kept as to what happened for them and every other person in the batting line up. Not only does this allow for tracking of Runs but it also allows for Statistics.
Team Managers should always be prepared to keep track of their own score and that of the opposing team because there will always be games where there is no Official Scorekeeper. Scorekeeping is also an essential part of WESA Team Management training.
