General Guidelines for Wild Evaluations

  1. Check your player ice time and arena on the Wild Zone Website before you leave the house.
  2. All players should arrive at the rink 45 minutes prior to their scheduled ice time.
  3. All players must register at the start of each evaluation skate and pick up their assigned jersey. Evaluations jerseys are to be returned at the end of each skate unless specified by your coordinator.
  4. All players must be in full hockey gear for their safety. If your player is missing equipment they will not be allowed on the ice.
  5. All players must wear Wild or neutral equipment during evaluations. No spring hockey socks/gloves/pants/helmets will not be permitted. No name bars or other identifying features are to be worn.
  6. Independent evaluators will be used to evaluate players.
  7. After each evaluation skate, player scores will be updated and rosters will be updated based on their scores and other factors. Families will need to go to the Wild Zone Website and check their emails to see their players assigned time for the next evaluation session.
  8. For scrimmages
    1. U9/U11 - players will play all positions and on ice helpers will keep games moving.
    2. U13 + - players will play the position they registered for and referees will be used.
    3. Parent volunteers may run gates on the bench opposite of their child.
    4. Score clock volunteers will be used to buzz shifts every 1:00 to 2:00 minutes.
  9. If your player misses an evaluation skate due to injury or unforeseen circumstances:
    1. If you do not notify your coordinator, they will be given a zero and placed on a team according to their score.
    2. If you do notify your coordinator, cases will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
