3 x 3 Game Guidelines and General Rules


Join the excitement of the SMBA's 3x3 Competitive Spring League! This league offers a dynamic, high-energy basketball environment for teams and individual players alike. Whether you've got a squad ready or you're an individual player looking to join the action, this is your chance to dive into the fast-paced world of 3x3 basketball.

General information

  • 3 X 3 is a competitive basketball experience to improve your skills while playing small court games.
  • The 2024 season runs from April 8th to May 31st, 2024 
  • Each team will play a 40 min game twice per week
  • Games will be played in school gyms around the city
  • Schedule will be posted the week before the start of the season

PLEASE HAVE (1) PARENT REP CREATE A TEAM IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS (MIN 4PLAYERS)

Team Registration Guidelines

  • Team Creation: A parent representative should form a team with a minimum of 4 players.
  • Parent Rep Information: Provide the details of the parent representative.
  • Age Group Selection: Parent Rep chooses the appropriate age group for your team.
    • Age Groups are:
      U11 (grades 5/6)
      U13 (grades 7/8)
      U15 (grades 9/10)
      U17 (grades 11/12) 
  • Team Naming: Name your team using this format: [PARENT REP LAST NAME - AGE GROUP].
  • Player Addition: Add each player’s first and last name, email address, and a parent contact with an email address and phone number.
  • Terms and Conditions: Review and agree to the terms and conditions.
  • Payment: The fee is $215 per player. The total fee is based on the number of players on your roster. Payment options include credit card or e-transfer to smbapayements@gmail.com. Please include the player(s) name in the notes section. 

Jersey Requirements

  • All players must wear an SMBA reversible jersey.
  • New jerseys can be ordered at Al Anderson's Team Store online. Team store

Individual Player Registration


Individual players can register and will be placed on a waiting list. As teams form and require additional players, individuals from the waiting list MAY be selected to join. This is a great opportunity to meet new teammates and enjoy the league! IF YOU ARE NOT PICKED UP BY A TEAM YOU WILL RECEIVE A FULL REFUND.

  • Registration Process: Provide your personal and contact information.
  • Waiting List: You will be placed on a waiting list until a team selects you.
  • Fees and Jersey: The individual registration fee is $215, and you will also need an SMBA reversible jersey, available for order if needed.

    SMBA Refund Policy:

    Prior to the start of the program the registration fees will be refunded less a $25 cancellation fee. There will be no refund once the program starts.

KidSport Funding
Those who have financial concerns may apply to Kidsport Canada for Kidsport funding. Go to   http://www.kidsportcanada.ca/saskatchewan/saskatoon/apply-for-assistance/ for an application form.
