Fair-Play Rules/Guidelines 
As a league we expect all of our players to see beyond the outcome of a game and follow the simple guidelines below:
- Always play to win but accept defeat with grace and dignity
- Reject cheating in all its many forms including; age misrepresentation and allowing non-rostered players to participate
- See every game as an opportunity to grow and learn
- Learn and follow the rules of the game
- Always respect teammates, opponents, referees and spectators
- Have “zero-tolerance” for corruption, drugs, racism, violence and other dangers to the game of soccer
- Utilize the game to make a better world realizing you have the power to use this platform to promote peace, equality, health, and education for everyone.
YPSL “Respect the Game” Campaign
The “Respect the Game” campaign, instituted by the YPSL leadership upon its creation on August 1st, 2022 will feature prominently at all competitions and events. The YPSL takes the word “Respect” seriously as it is a well-known word spoken and understood globally.
The “Respect the Game” Campaign reminds us all the we have the power for combating violence, racism, drug use and all the negative effects these bring to our players and society as a whole. The ultimate goal of this initiative is to promote a sense of social responsibility in our players and parents, based not only on respect for opponents and referee’s but the game itself.
