2026 Tackle Football TRYOUT REGISTRATION

We're excited to share that registration is now open for the 2026 Ontario Summer Football League Tackle program.

This spring, we'll be holding tryouts for the U12, U14, U16 and U18 age divisions.
Proud to announce the declaration of seven (7) OSFL register teams in multiple divisions!

This 2026 OSFL season will consist of at least the following fully competitive provincial tackle football teams with WRMF:
  • U10 AA, U12 AA and U12 A
  • U14 AAA, U16 AA, U16 AAA & U18 AAA

How team placement works

Tryouts will include coaching-led evaluation of athletes, including:

  • athletic ability and movement
  • fundamentals and football IQ
  • competitiveness and effort
  • positional skills and coachability

Athletes will be evaluated by position, and placement will be determined based on the athlete’s readiness, performance, and developmental fit for each division.

Our Tryout Philosophy

At Waterloo Region Minor Football, we believe that development comes from:
✅ strong coaching
✅ safe football fundamentals
✅ the right competitive environment

That’s why our tryout process is designed with fair evaluation and appropriate placement at its core.

➡️ Register today and get ready for tryouts.
Let’s build the 2026 season — together.

BIG, HUGE NEWS Jr. Warriors fans!

Building the Future of FootbalL

Over the past year, our organization through the Board of Directors has made a clear commitment:
develop better coaches so we can develop better athletes.

We’ve invested in education, collaboration, and a shared philosophy across every level of the Waterloo Jr. Warriors program, and the results are real.

One of Our Biggest Years Yet: OSFL 2026

For the 2026 season, the Waterloo Jr. Warriors will proudly field:

Three full AAA age groups in their second season of OSFL competition led by elite, dedicated coaches.

Expanded opportunities across additional age groups and divisions

✅ Fielding SEVEN provincially-competitive tackle football teams!

This growth means more athletes will have the chance to play, develop, and compete in a high-performance environment — with the support, structure, and mentorship they deserve.

We are here to:
Teach the game the right way and create competitive environments that build confidence, develop great teammates, leaders, and people.

When your athlete puts on a Jr. Warriors jersey, they aren’t just joining a football team; they’re joining a mentorship community built around growth, belonging, opportunity and giving back.

Support Youth.
Empower Community.
Build Champions.

At Waterloo Region Minor Football (Waterloo Jr. Warriors), we're more than just a game; we're a growing community that inspires young athletes to dream bigger, train harder, and rise together.

We aspire to provide all youth with a quality, positive team experience that fosters a love for the game of football, while helping individuals grow not only as athletes but as valued members of the community. Our programs emphasize player development, safe football fundamentals, and the values of good sportsmanship, self-confidence, discipline, competitiveness, and teamwork.
