In 2026, we’re entering our second season with three AAA teams in the Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL), and we're proud to offer the opportunity to support players in multiple divisions across multiple age groups, thereby providing more athletes with the chance to play, grow, and compete.

Even if you're just starting out, looking to play football beyond your high school team, or have been a Jr. Warriors for years, we have a place for YOU!

Our season begins with the Winter Skills Camp in January, followed by Padded Player Evaluations in March and April.

Waterloo JR. WARRIORS Football for ATHletes
AGED 6 - 19 years

Waterloo Jr. Warriors (Waterloo Region Minor Football) is a not-for-profit organization affiliated with the cities of Kitchener and Waterloo. Our players come from all over Waterloo Region, including St. Jacobs, Elmira, Wellesley, Baden, Breslau, Palmerston, New Hamburg, Breslau, St. Clements, Drayton and Maryhill. Though our programs are based out of KW, we welcome athletes from anywhere in Ontario.

WRMF Football Governance and League Program Affiliations:
Our Spring/Summer tackle program is affiliated with the Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL), while our Fall season is part of the Ontario Fall Football League (OFFL), all governed by Football Ontario, under the umbrella of Football Canada. Our flag football program is run in partnership with NFL Flag Canada.

The Waterloo Jr. Warriors football program takes immense pride in inspiring the next generation of leaders and fostering a strong sense of community. Our objectives are to demonstrate and instill integrity, character, fair play, and sportsmanship among our young athletes. We work hard to provide youth, ages 19 and under in our region, the opportunity to play football in an environment where they can develop their skills and fitness. Our emphasis is on teaching football fundamentals, building character, and understanding fair play while competing at the highest levels.

MISSION STATEMENT
The Waterloo Region Minor Football Association (Waterloo Jr Warriors) aspires to provide all youth with a quality, positive team experience that fosters a love for the game of football (both flag and tackle) while allowing individuals to grow both as athletes and members of the community. Our programs focus on player development and safe football fundamentals while promoting good sportsmanship, self-confidence, discipline, competitiveness and teamwork.


For nearly thirty years, Waterloo Region Minor Football has been a place where young athletes can grow, learn, and develop important skills both on and off the field. Each season builds on this foundation, helping players succeed within one of Waterloo Region's top youth sports programs.

A New Era Begins!

We’re thrilled to announce the incredible success of our AAA program’s inaugural season competing against the best-of-the-best in SUMMER 2025! After a season of hard-fought matchups and standout performances, the Jr. Warriors are proud to confirm we will be continuing at the AAA level in the 2026 OSFL season.

This 2025 inaugural AAA season, our U18, U16, and U14 teams made serious waves in the Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL):

U18 AAA (2-5) powered through to the semifinals, showcasing grit and next-level skill.

U16 AAA (5-2)  finished with a strong, battling fiercely in the quarterfinals.

U14 AAA (6-1) had a remarkable run, earning their place as one of the province’s elite.

Our journey in the Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL) kicks off with the Winter Skills Camp—an opportunity for all club-aged athletes to develop their abilities in a focused, competitive environment. Whether you’re new to football or have been playing for years, this camp is designed to help you build strength, improve speed, and refine position-specific skills under the guidance of elite coaching staff. ONtario Fall Football League (OFFL) Season has wrapped up for our U10/U12/U14 AA

The 2025 OFFL season was a memorable one for the Waterloo Jr. Warriors and WRMF AA Development Program. Our U10 Jr. Warriors made it to the semi-finals, showcasing their growth and teamwork on the field. The U12 team impressed with a second-place finish in the Ontario Fall Football League Championship. The U14 athletes faced challenges competing at the AA level, but their successes have prepared them for the next stage in their football journey in 2026. Whether it's your first, second, or sixth or seventh season playing, we will work together to find your football potential.

Our participation in the Ontario Fall Football League (OFFL) is centred on the development of our pre-high school athletes. Through structured competition and skill development, we provide young players with the opportunity to deepen their love for the game, learn safe football fundamentals, and prepare for the next level of play.
