Beach season 2026!!

For the 2026 season, Subzero is excited to offer the following beach programs:

13/14U Coed Beginner Beach
This is an intro program aimed at athletes who are new or developing skills in beach. Coaches will take players through the fundamentals of the beach game and work on skills and game play.

  - Session #1 Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-7:00pm, June 16-July 16 (5 weeks). $125 
  - Session #2 Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-7:00pm, July 21-August 20 (5 weeks). $125
  - All sessions at the Mercier beach courts

15-17U Coed Intermediate/Advanced Beach
This program is aimed at competitive athletes who have played beach volleyball previously, though we will try to accommodate experienced indoor players who are new to beach. Players will have the opportunity to play in the Volleyball Yukon Beach Championships and to compete at Volleyball Canada Beach Nationals or VA or VBC Provincials if they are interested. We understand that many players have busy schedules over the summer but we ask that players only register if they can commit to attending the majority of sessions throughout the summer. 

  - Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-9pm.
  - June 16 to August 20 (10 weeks). $175 
  - All sessions at the Mercier beach courts 

17+/Adult Coed League Night
This program is for experienced beach athletes only and will consist of weekly league play. There will be no coaching/skills sessions.

  - Wednesdays 7:30-9:30pm, June 17 to August 19, $60

* Early registration for returning (2025) beach players  starts Monday, April 13, 2026 @ 8pm - invite link will be sent to all 2025 players
* Registration for all remaining Subzero 2026 indoor players starts Tuesday, April 14, 2026 @ 8pm - invite link will be sent to all 2026 indoor players
* Open registration starts Thursday, April 15th @ 8pm

Season:
Yukon's longest running and only year-round volleyball club is gearing up to offer it's summer beach programming for the 7th year in a row! Our beach season  runs from June 16 to August 20, 2026. 

Location:
We will be running sessions at the VY courts behind CSSC Mercier in Riverdale. We may offer additional sessions at Rotary Park, pending planned improvements by the City of Whitehorse.

Age Groups:
Subzero will run the following age groups:                                                        
- 13/14U (beginner)

- 15/16U (intermediate/advanced)
- 17+ Adults
All groups are coed.

  Out-of-territory Travel:
Subzero Beach athletes interested in out-of-territory competition can register for Volleyball BC or Alberta Youth Beach Provincials (14U - 18U), as well as Volleyball Canada Youth Beach Nationals (14U - 16U).
Depending on interest/commitment to these events, Subzero will organize a coach and/or chaperone to accompany beach teams to these events or beach teams can travel independently.
