Scott Wilkinson

Scott Wilkinson is an experienced football coach and program leader with over 15 years of dedicated service to youth and junior football development. A fixture in the London football community, Coach Wilkinson brings a unique blend of tactical coaching expertise and executive-level organizational leadership to the program.
Coach Wilkinson operates with an athlete-first development mindset, believing that the field is a classroom for life. His programs are built on a foundation of accountability, discipline, and maximum effort, ensuring that every player develops not just as an athlete, but as a leader. By prioritizing meticulous preparation and adaptability, he fosters a team culture rooted in community pride and professional excellence.
With a coaching career spanning over a decade and a half, Scott has been instrumental in developing talent for the London Minor Football Association (LMFA) and the Forest City Thunderbirds. His ability to mentor athletes and assist them in progressing to higher levels of competition is a hallmark of his career.
Beyond the sidelines, Scott’s impact on the sport is felt at the administrative level. He served as the President of the LMFA from 2022 to 2025, providing strategic oversight for one of the region's largest community organizations. In this role, he managed league operations, coach development, and governance, always with a primary focus on athlete safety and organizational accountability. He continues to support the sport's growth as a Board Member and Past President of the association.
In 2024, Scott founded 1st Team Football Clinics, a program designed to bridge the gap between skill development and athlete exposure.
Whether engaging with sponsors, mentoring coaches, or developing the next generation of athletes, Coach Wilkinson is committed to building a professional, high-performance environment that the entire community can be proud of.

Coach John Hudson
Defensive Line
A former London Beefeater and Western Mustang defensive lineman, John brings extensive playing and coaching experience to the Beefeaters’ staff. He has served the organization for more than a decade as a coach and board member, demonstrating a strong commitment to the club and its players. John focuses on developing disciplined, physical and technically sound defensive linemen while helping prepare them for success on and off the field.
Coach Cam Malthaner
Defensive Line & Special Teams
A former Forest City Thunderbird and London Beefeaters defensive lineman, Cam Malthaner brings both playing and coaching experience to the staff. An educator and longtime football coach, Cam is committed to developing disciplined, technically sound players who compete with confidence.
Coach Zach Annen
Offensive Line
Zach played at Parkside Collegiate before joining the Carleton Ravens, where he became a U SPORTS First-Team All-Canadian centre. Selected by the Montreal Alouettes in the 2017 CFL Draft, Zach brings high-level playing experience and technical knowledge to the Beefeaters’ offensive line.
Coach Luke Reeves
Defensive Coordinator
A London native, Luke played centre at Oakridge Secondary School before joining the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks. With nearly a decade of coaching experience in the London football community, Luke brings strong technical knowledge and a focus on fundamentals, discipline and physical play to the Beefeaters’ defence.

Coach Max Magee
Running Backs
A graduate of Western University with degrees in kinesiology and education, Max brings a strong understanding of athletic development and teaching to the Beefeaters. As running backs coach, he focuses on fundamentals, preparation and helping players develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed.
Coach Noah Olynyk
Receivers & Special Teams
London native Noah played for the London Junior Mustangs, Saunders Secondary School, Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks and London Beefeaters. A recipient of the Beefeaters’ 2018 Ian Hayes Presidents Award, Noah now brings his experience and knowledge to the coaching staff, helping players develop their skills, confidence and football IQ.

Coach Haylen Ferguson
Quarterbacks
A former quarterback with the Forest City Thunderbirds, Haylen Ferguson brings more than a decade of playing and coaching experience to the Beefeaters. He has coached quarterbacks and coordinated the passing game at the minor and junior levels, focusing on strong fundamentals, decision-making, leadership and confidence.
Coach Blake Collinson
Offensive Line
A Strathroy native, Blake played offensive line for the London Junior Mustangs and Windsor Lancers and represented Canada at the 2018 IFAF World Junior Championship. A Team Canada gold medallist, Blake brings high-level playing experience and technical knowledge to the development of the Beefeaters’ offensive line.
Coach Mackenzie Duwyn
Defensive Backs
A former Forest City Thunderbirds receiver, Mackenzie has more than a decade of coaching experience at the youth and junior levels. His background includes coaching receivers and serving as an offensive coordinator, giving him a valuable offensive perspective as he develops smart, disciplined and technically sound defensive backs.
Coach Marshall Lafleur
Linebackers
A former Forest City Thunderbirds linebacker, Marshall has nearly a decade of coaching experience at the minor and junior levels. Having coached linebackers, defensive backs and team defence, he brings a well-rounded perspective focused on fundamentals, physical play, discipline and strong defensive awareness.

Shawn Wilson
General Manager
Shawn is an experienced football coach and program leader with a strong background in player development and team operations. He has coached at the youth, junior and women’s levels, including leading London WOLFPAAC to the inaugural OWFL championship in 2023. As General Manager, Shawn oversees football operations, recruitment and roster development while helping build a strong culture throughout the Beefeaters program.

Devon Smith
Director of International Recruitment
A former London Beefeater and 2021 OFC All-Star, Devon brings extensive international playing and coaching experience to the organization. Having competed in the NCAA, CJFL and professionally across several countries, Devon uses his global football connections to identify talented international athletes and help them transition into the Beefeaters program.
