SIDEWALK SIDE CONFERENCE
-WAR FOR THE HEART OF PRYTANIA BAR: Prytania Bar's newly formed The Puck Stops Here(1-3) "hosted" the Pytanders To The Crown(2-2) also newly formed out of Prytania Bar but captained by Alan who was part of last years NOSL 2025 Championship team, Mighty Pucks, who were then playing out of Prytania Bar. Along with Maggie, also a former Champion with the Mighty Pucks, Alan has put together a team of fresh faces to the NOSL.
In Game 1 Alan and Josh took to the board first for PTTC and were able to secure a 21-2 win in six rounds against Stephen & Sanjay of The Puck Stops Here.
Game 2 saw Pytanders Maggie and Damian try to follow up with another win but were stymied by The Puck Stops Here Chris and Louis in a 25-8 win. Damian kept it close with 5pts in the second round and the lead but with Louis scoring threes in a couple middle rounds and Chris closing it out with points of fours and fives, Maggie held them off with a couple late points but was not enough in the end. Eventhough
In Game 3 TPSH Alan scored three out of four rounds on Prytander Alan, it was not enough for a win. Alan scored a big six points in round four and Josh's consistent point scoring over Alex with a seven point finish in round nine for a 21-14 win.
If The Puck Stops Here were going to be able to live up to their name and tie the match up it was up to Louis & Chris who scored a big 21-8 win in Game 4 over PTTC Maggie and Damian who held out till round 11, longest game in the match.
It all came down to the 4on4 with both teams scoring big early and keeping it tight until the middle rounds were Pytanders went on a 14 to 3 run and even the four TPSH points in a last round counldn't hold off a 23-14 win in the 4on4 or the match. 3-2 win for The Pytanders To The Crown in the WAR FOR THE HEART OF PYTANIA BAR.
-THE BATTLE OF BIG BOARD VS SMALL BOARD: Pirogues Whiskey Bayou is the home to No Pucks Given(2-2) and the shortest shuffleboard table in the league. They have entered the French Quarter and walked up the stairs at The Double Club and are now in a shuffleboard match against the Sexy Mother Puckers on one of the longest and most certainly the highest tables in NOSL. Game 1 had big board players Hussian & Olivia scoring 15pts but not enough for the mostly equally scoring Joey & Laura who got the 24-14 win. Sexy Mother Puckers Bethany & Jules were eager for a Game 2 win against No Pucks Given Amanda & Samira and were able to seal a 22-13 win to tie the match. Bethany & Jules stayed on the board and stayed hot in Game 3 in a commanding win 22-3 over NPG Joey & Laura. Samira felt the sting of being held to only 3 points in game two and in Game 4 out scored SMP Khari 7to 0 with Amanda scoring the rest of the SMP points against Hussain in a 24-0 win and a tie in the match. The 4on4 and deciding game was hard fought but was won by the home team Sexy Mother Puckers 21-15 over No Pucks Given. Big won over small this time.
