Position Overview

Alberta Cal Ripken Baseball is seeking reliable and enthusiastic Baseball Umpires to officiate youth baseball games. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy baseball, want to stay active, and are looking for flexible, part-time work.

Responsibilities

• Officiate Alberta Cal Ripken baseball games in accordance with league rules
• Ensure fair play, safety, and sportsmanship on the field
• Make accurate calls and manage game flow professionally
• Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and fellow umpires

Compensation

• $60.00 – $80.00 per game (based on level and assignment)
• Average game length: 1.5 hours
• Full game pay is provided even if a game is cancelled
• Payment via eTransfer within 7 days of the game

Requirements

• Minimum age: 14 years old
• Baseball experience and/or umpire experience required
• Strong understanding of baseball rules (training/support may be provided)
• Ability to make confident decisions and work well under pressure

Equipment

• Umpire gear can be provided if needed
