Alberta Cal Ripken High Performance Program

With a balanced approach to training, practice and competition, Alberta Cal Ripken High Performance Program offers players an opportunity to be seen and trained by professional coaches with a common goal to better the baseball culture in Alberta. Players drafted into the High Performance Program will get a head start towards being a part of a system designed to focus on development, play with like-minded peers at similar ability levels, while still staying primarily within local areas. Players will be expected to try out and, if selected, will be drafted onto teams with a primary focus towards development and growth, as an athlete and a person.
Program information:
• Ages 10-12
• Players will be subject to tryouts in order to maintain competition quality and rate of development
• Skill development is the focal point of fall ball while maintaining a competitive environment
• Exceptional 9 year old's must email separately for a special request to tryout
• Runs from February to Mid July
• Weekdays will primarily consist of practices and some games, weekends will be designated for game play.
• Players will play with full MLB rules (pick offs, lead offs, drop third strike) on 50ft pitching lane and 70ft base paths.
• Practices and Games will be held at Lynnwood Field.
• Players will be instructed by Professional Coaches
• Players will receive Cal Ripken issued practice shirts, hats, belts (to be returned), and socks.
• Players are responsible for providing their own baseball pants (white)
• Cost: $1700.00
*Registration fee of $60.00 to be paid at registration time. $1700.00 program fee will be paid when the player makes the program.

Registration for tryouts includes four ID Camps (Pre Tryout Workouts) in December, 2024. The cost of these is included in the $60 tryout fee.
It is highly recommended for all players trying out to attend the ID Camps. Players will be being prepared for what coaches will like to see during tryouts. Additionally, it gives the coaches more time to get to know each player than what a 2 hour tryout can allow for.
