CLUB POLICIES: COACHES
Prior to participation with Wenatchee Valley Lacrosse as a coach at any level or capacity, the following requirements must be met:
#1 - Registration through the Wenatchee Valley Lacrosse on-line registration system. See Agreements required during registration.
#2 - Paid member of US Lacrosse through the end of the Season (part of registration process, through US Lacrosse website)
Required Agreements as part of the Registration Process: All agreements are acknowledged during the registration process.
- Read and agreement of the WVL Code of Conduct
- Read and agreement with the Policy for Issue Resolution Between Parents and Coaches
- Read and agreement with the USA Lacrosse Concussion Information
- Read and agreement for compliance with the Zackery Lystedt Law protocol
- Read and agreement of the Commotio Cordis Information and necessity to wear chest protection meeting NOCSAE standards
- Grant of medical permission for WVL personnel to administer emergency care on site or seek medical treatment (Wording is on the registration form.)
- Permission for WVL to photograph, video, and voice record player for the purpose of publicity (e.g., website), education (e.g., coaching), and promotion (e.g., recruiting) (Wording is on the Registration form)
In addition, Coaches must complete some required training as follows:
- Complete NFHS course: Concussion in Sports (every three years)
- Complete NFHS course: Sudden Cardiac Arrest (every three years)
*WVL will reimburse the US Lacrosse membership fee, 1st aid/CPR, and any cost associated with acquiring Level 1 and Level 2 certifications to our coaches upon request.
