U9 – 4 the Love of the Game Tournament

The Sturgeon Hockey Club is proud to host the 29th Annual Dennis Blair Borduzak Memorial “4 the Love of the Game” U9 Hockey Tournament, taking place TBD at both the Morinville Leisure Centre and the Sturgeon Valley Fertilizer (SVF) Sports Centre in Legal.

For the past 28 years, Sturgeon Hockey Club has organized the “4 the love of the Game” tournament as a dedication to the memory of a young man who passed away in 1989 following his first year of Novice Hockey. Dennis Borduzak (who wore number 4), is best remembered for his bright eyes, infectious smile, and his enthusiasm for the game.

The Borduzak family wants to express the importance of team spirit, friendship, and enthusiasm to all those who participate in and support this tournament.​​​​​​​

Tournament Details

• Open to U9 Tier 2–6 teams and female U9 teams
• A dedicated female-only division will once again be included
• Four-game guarantee per team
• Entry fee: TBD

Registration Information

• Registration opens TBD, and closes TBD
• Teams will be selected no later than TBD
• Rosters and full payment are due by TBD
