Returning SHC Player Registrations
Welcome back returning SHC families!
When does Registration Close?
Early access for registration opens May 22nd, 2026 and each returning player will be provided with a code. Spots are limited and cannot be guaranteed after registration opens for everyone on June 15th, 2026. Players registering after this date will be subject to a $200.00 late fee.
The Shift Forward Parent Course
New course for the 2026-2027 season. Hockey Canada and Hockey Alberta are launching The Shift Forward: Evolving Hockey Culture, which is the new home for national education and training courses for Team Officials & Parents/Guardians. These online courses will replace the previous requirements of RIS- Parent. Hockey Alberta will continue to recognize the existing RIS course until it expires.
Next Steps
Step 1: LOCATE your HCR number
- Log into your Spordle Account and confirm/update your player’s Hockey Canada ID.
- Check “Qualifications” tab and renew Respect in Sport if expired.
- Sign all mandatory waivers under “Waivers”.
Need help?
Step 2: The Hockey Canada Shift Forward
- Only required if RIS has expired
- One parent/guardian must complete the course
- Cost: $11.50 + GST (~1.5 hours)
- Register under your child’s name so qualifications apply across profiles
Step 3: READY TO REGISTER
Once you have your HCR number, Respect In Sport completed, and birth certificate ready, you’re good to go!
