Registration Information – 2026-2027 Season

Registration for the 2026–2027 season will open in three phases:

Phase One
Registration opens May 22, 2026 for returning players.
An access code is required to register.

Phase Two
Registration opens to all players on June 15, 2026.
The access code will be removed. Limited spots available.

Phase Three
Registrations received after June 30, 2026 will be subject to a
$200.00 late fee,
excluding new members to SHC.

Important – Sting Tryouts

If your home association is SHC and you're trying out for a Sting AA team, you must also register for the applicable house league package. This reserves your spot if you're released from the AA process.


New Registrations

Ensure your address falls within the proper boundary before registering.

SHC Boundary Map

Required Documents:

  • Digital copy of Birth Certificate
  • Current Utility Bill (proof of address)
  • Parent/Guardian Declaration Form
  • Shift Forward Course

Incomplete documentation will result in an incomplete registration.


Payment Information

  • Option 1: Full payment upon registration
  • Option 2: Payment plan (4 installments)

Deadline: Full payment is due by September 30, 2026. Players with outstanding fees will not be permitted to continue the season.


Additional Fees & Notes

  • Cheques are not accepted for registration
  • Sting team & additional registration fees will be added after team formation – due by November 30, 2026
  • Fundraising Deposit: $200.00 cheque (collected at team level)
  • Jersey Deposit: $125.00 cheque (collected at team level)

Financial Assistance – Jumpstart, KidSport & SHC Policy

If registration fees are a barrier, Canadian Tire Jumpstart, KidSport, and the Sturgeon Hockey Club offer financial assistance to eligible families.

These programs help ensure that all children can participate in organized sports and enjoy the benefits of:

  • Increased confidence
  • Improved teamwork skills
  • Regular physical activity

Eligibility: Most programs are based on household income and require proof of financial need. Each program has its own guidelines and application process.
