High Performance Hockey (AA / AAA Programs)     ​     ​

The Winnipeg AA/AAA Council oversees all AA and AAA hockey programs within the regions governed by Hockey Winnipeg. These high-performance programs are designed for athletes seeking a more competitive and development-focused hockey experience.

Age Divisions

  • U13 AA (11-12 YEARS)
  • U15 AA & U15 AAA (13-14 YEARS)
  • U17 AAA (15-16 YEARS)
  • U18 AA & U18 AAA (15-17 YEARS)

District Teams

The Winnipeg AA/AAA Council operates teams from multiple districts across the city:

Male Programs:

  • Winnipeg Bruins
  • Winnipeg Thrashers
  • Winnipeg Wild

Female Programs:

  • Winnipeg Ice
  • Winnipeg Avros

Players registered in the South Winnipeg Hockey Association (SWHA) are eligible to try out for:

  • Winnipeg Wild (Male AA/AAA)
  • Winnipeg Ice (Female AA/AAA)
