An Inclusive, Low-Pressure Introduction to Hockey

Hockey Winnipeg is proud to offer the U11 & U13 Recreational Program, a fun and accessible opportunity for kids to experience hockey in a supportive, non-competitive environment. This program is designed for new and developing players who want to enjoy the game while learning essential skills—without the pressure of organized league play.


Program Highlights

  • Who: Players aged 9, 10, and 11 (U11 & U13)
  • When: October to March (20-week season)
  • Frequency: 1 ice time per week
  • Schedule: Sessions held on Saturdays or Sundays (varies by division/location)
  • Cost: Approximately $375 per player
  • Skill Level: All skill levels welcome — no previous hockey experience required

What’s Included

  • Weekly sessions focused on fun, learning, and skill development
  • Team jersey and socks provided
  • Full hockey equipment required (including mouth guards)

Note: Players enrolled in the Recreational Program cannot participate in organized hockey (A, AA, AAA) at the same time due to limited space and scheduling structure.
