Hockey Canada – SWHA Online Registration
Welcome to the South Winnipeg Hockey Association (SWHA) Online Registration Portal.
Before registering, please note:
Registration fees do not cover team-related expenses such as practice ice, tournaments, team windups, or other additional costs. Parents will be asked to contribute to team fees, which typically range from $300–$900 per player, depending on the age and level of play.
Registration Instructions
- Visit the SWHA Online Registration Portal
- Click “View Online Stores”
- Select South Winnipeg Hockey Association Main Registration Online Store
Need Financial Assistance?
Select the SWHA Financial Assistance Invoice Generation Online Store instead. All other instructions below still apply. See our Financial Assistance Programs for details.
Creating an Account (First-Time Users)
- Click “Register Now”
- Select “Don’t have an account? Sign up”
- Enter your email address (this will be your permanent registration email)
- Enter your first and last name and create a password
Use the parent/guardian’s name, not the child’s
- Check your email for a 6-digit verification code from Hockey Canada
- (check your spam/junk folder if not received)
- Enter the code and click “Validate”
- Log in using your new password
Registering a Participant
- Accept the Hockey Canada Registration Terms and Conditions
- If your child has previously played hockey in Canada (including First Shift), click “Register an Existing Participant”
If this is their first year, click “Register a New Participant”
Be sure to use an exact match for your child’s name (e.g., "Nicholas" vs "Nick").

Select and Complete Registration
- Choose the appropriate registration package
- Complete the questionnaire
- Review and accept all waivers
- To register another child, click “Register another participant”, or proceed to checkout
Payment Details
- AAA or High School Tryouts?
You may select an installment plan:
- Pay ~$100 now
- Remaining balance due in October if not placed on a AAA/High School team
- Review and accept payment terms
- You will be redirected to SportPay for secure credit card payment
- Enter your credit card details and click “Pay”
- Upon payment, you will see a confirmation message and receive an email receipt
Please note:
- A credit card is required to register (cheques are not accepted).
- Players will not receive evaluation or ice time communications until payment is complete.
