The Renegade Outstanding Volunteer Award

The 2025-26 Renegade Outstanding Volunteer Award is in memory of Lesa Springman. Lesa Springman passed suddenly in August 12th of 2025. Lesa was a devoted mom of three boys Ashton, Ethan and Aven, all of which played their minor hockey in the Renegade zone. Lesa’s love for her family and hockey was immeasurable; there wasn’t a moment she wasn’t doing something for the 3 boys or their teams. You could usually find Lesa at the rink watching the boys play hockey or managing/organizing for all their teams.

The Renegade Outstanding Volunteer Award annually recognizes an outstanding volunteer who has contributed to improving the overall experience of Renegade zone. The Outstanding Volunteer Award is presented to an individual who has dedicated himself/herself to the ideals of Hockey Canada – SMHA – Saskatoon Renegades, who has worked tirelessly for the improvement of the Association and the team within, who has had a notable impact on the experience of kids enjoying the sport.
