ALL PLAYERS MAKE A TEAM REGARDLESS OF HOW THEY ARE EVALUATED.
*High school Girls Division*
Number of registrants will determine our programming for this division. All participants will be put on a waitlist so they won't be asked to pay until we decide which of the below list of progams we will be able to run.
- 60 or more we will run a full season with 6 teams. 10 regular season games and a playoff ($300)
- 30 or more we will run a 3-on-3 league at a reduced cost ($225)
- 20 or more we will run a 10-week program with 90-minutes each week with 45 mins of skill development and 45 minutes of scrimmage at a reduced cost ($150)
- less than 20 will result in no program
Team Selection
When drafting teams, we take into account the nights of availability for each player, their evaluation results, and other activities they participate in. The RCBA does take player requests in this division - if your player has a (one or two) friend they wish to play with, please email the request to rcba@sasktel.net or add it directly to your registration. These requests are taken into consideration but not guaranteed.
Division
The High School program will be divided into 2 divisions - Grade 9 & Grade 10-12
*The RCBA reserves the right to combine all the High School athletes into 1 division, depending on registration numbers.
*The RCBA does not accept zone requests - THIS IS A CITY-WIDE PROGRAM, PLAYERS COULD BE ASSIGNED A PRACITCE FACILITY OUTSIDE THEIR ZONE*
Games
Game format is 5-on-5. Zone defense is not allowed during the season. Person to person pressing is allowed. Game sessions are 75 minutes.
Scoring
Scores are kept & displayed. If the point differential is more then 25 points, coaches have the option to discontinue showing the score. On the RCBA website, scores will ONLY be recorded up to a 25 point differential. This is to discourage teams from running up the score.
Closing Tournament
All teams make it into the playoffs and will have a minimum of 2 games. Playoff brackets will be posted & matchups are determined by the season's final standings.
Scheduling
Practices: Every team practice will be held at the same facility at the same time every week. Practices are 1.5 hours.
