Dollard-des-Ormeaux is set to host a day of sportsmanship, community spirit, and fundraising at the 4th Annual Softball Tournament organized by the Dollard Executive Softball League in collaboration with Defi Canderel. Scheduled for July 27th, 2025, at Park Edward Janiszewski Park, 264 Rue Ernest, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9A 3G6, this event is a rallying call to join forces against cancer while enjoying a day of softball and delicious food.

"Our annual softball tournament is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together, have fun, and support a meaningful cause," says Neil Ram, the event organizer. "It's more than just a game—it's about making a real difference in the fight against cancer."

The day will kick off with friendly yet competitive softball games. Participants and spectators can also indulge in BBQ delights throughout the event, with all proceeds from food, drinks, and goodies sold contributing directly to cancer research and patient care.

Last year, Neil Ram's dedication and the community's generosity helped raise over $13,000. This year, supported by additional sponsors such as Smoking BBQ and Fidelity Payments (Ian Luterman), organizers aim to surpass last year's fundraising total. The event will also feature an exciting auction with prizes ranging from golf packages and bikes to hockey tickets, TVs, and restaurant packages—all contributing to the fundraising efforts.

Our League

The DESL is a men's 35 and over softball organization that provides recreational softball opportunities for adults of all skill levels. The league has been operating since 1984 and has over 160 active members. The league's mission is to promote physical fitness, social interaction, and community involvement through the game of softball.
