League Rules and Game Format

Game Format:

• 5 v 5 player format
• One Referee per game
• 3 Periods
• 3 Minute intermissions
• 15:00 Running Clock
  • Stoppage Time if 2 or less goal game with 2 Minutes left
  • Running Clock will stop if there is an injury, timeout or maintenance issue with the rink
• Shoot-Out if game ends in a tie in regulation.
• Each team will be allowed one time-out per game.

Equipment Requirements

• • Caged/Bubbled Helmet (hockey or lacrosse)
  • Shin Guards
  • Gloves
  • Stick
  • Closed-toed running shoes/sneakers
  • Elbow Guards (Optional)
• Uniforms: Each team will be assigned a specific t-shirt/jersey color that all players must wear. Numbers can be taped on to the t-shirts/jerseys if they don’t have them.

Penalties/Rules

• No Body Checking,
• All Regular Penalties same as ice hockey.
• Players must be respectful of all other players and officials.  Verbal or physical abuse of the officials or any other players will not be tolerated.
• Fighting will not be tolerated.
• Any player with 3 or more penalties is ejected for the remainder of the game.
• No-Touch Icing will be enforced
• Floating Red Line
  • Once the attacking team has crossed the red line, for the defending team to clear the zone, they must propel the ball outside the center yellow line.  This gives teams additional space for offensive plays.
