St. George Minor Ball General Information:

St. George Minor Ball welcomes youth from St. George and the surrounding areas.

Uniforms:  Registration fees include a hat and jersey per player. Each player is required to purchase and wear black ball pants as part of the SGMB standard team uniform.  A glove and batting helmet with cage are also required.  Please see more information on EQUIPMENT & UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS HERE.

League Participation:    The league in which teams compete depends on the availability for placement of a team within each division and league.

Residency Requirement:   Players must reside within 25 km of St. George to register with St. George Minor Ball .

Multiple Teams:  If enough players are registered to field two teams, the SGMB Executive will divide the players and place the teams in different leagues, where possible.

House League Team Formation Principles:

Division by Birth Year:      Players will be placed in the division corresponding to their birth year. If a full team cannot be formed for a specific age group, the possibility of players moving up or down may be considered. Any changes will be made in consultation with the player’s parents and the league the team participates in.

Co-Ed Teams:   U7 (T-Ball) and U9 divisions will be CO-ED.     U11 teams will be split into boys' and girls' teams, if numbers allow. If registration does not support separate boys’ and girls’ teams, players will be combined into a CO-ED team. Level U13+ teams will be divided into boys’ and girls’ teams.

Team Rosters: St. George Minor Ball reserves the right to use discretion in the development of team rosters when applying team cap limits. Some divisions fill up quickly, so we encourage you to register early if you are certain you want to participate. Teams are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Rep Teams:

Selection:  Rep teams will be formed through tryouts and selected based on player skill, regardless of residency.

Girls' and Boys' Eligibility: Girls may try out for boys’ rep teams, but boys are not eligible to try out for girls’ rep teams.

Age Flexibility: Players may try out for rep teams in age divisions above their own.
