Registration fees include a baseball hat and team jersey for each player. In addition, players are required to purchase and wear black ball pants as part of the SGMB standard team uniform.
Players are also expected to tuck in their jerseys during gameplay. This is traditional baseball etiquette that reflects respect for the game, the team, and the St. George Spartans' community.
All players are expected to meet the uniform standards in their entirety, whether playing games at home or away.
Each player must also have the following equipment:
Additional Notes:
Proper footwear must be worn by all coaches and helpers. No open-toe shoes are allowed on the field. Umpires may ask anyone wearing improper footwear to leave the playing field.
Some teams may also be required to wear a pitching/fielding mask while playing in-field positions. This additional precaution is at the coach's discretion and teams will be informed early in the season.
We recommend securing these items early in the spring, as retailers often sell out quickly. Most sporting goods stores offer a wide selection of equipment at the beginning of the season. Please note that the items do not need to be brand new. Borrowed or used equipment is perfectly acceptable. If you experience any difficulty finding or acquiring these items, please reach out to the St. George Minor Ball Executive for assistance at info@stgeorgeminorball.ca.
