START YOUR VOLLEYBALL JOURNEY WITH SPVC
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
2024-25 CLUB VOLLEYBALL TRYOUT MESSAGE:
SPVC will participate in the FALL TRYOUT period according to the guidelines of Volleyball Alberta. Starting Sunday September 8 and every week after we will hold tryouts for each age group from 18U to 13U. Official offers (LOI) will be emailed to athletes soon after a tryout session.
We have also developed a schedule with Vertical Limit Volleyball Club, Grizzlies and Velocity Volleyball Club to eliminate any overlap of tryout times and dates. Every athlete will be able to attend the tryout of their choice.
LOI (letter of intent)
Volleyball Alberta guidelines state an offer (LOI) must be honoured by the club for a MINIMUM 48 hours. This means that athletes have 48 hours from the time the offer was given to accept or decline. They can even request an extension if they require more time to make their decision.
We have extended this period for 2024 tryouts. Athletes will have until the Friday at 10pm OF YOUR TRYOUT WEEK to accept or decline an offer from SPVC, VELOCITY, AND VERTICAL LIMIT volleyball clubs. Of course, if you have an offer and you want to sign, you do not have to wait.

SPVC has introduced some important changes to the fundraising and sponsorship policies in order to further support our athletes and families. FUNDRAISING: Fundraising by individual teams is now permitted to help offset player fees. 100% of the fundraising done will remain with the team to reduce fees specifically. SPONSORSHIP: Corporate sponsorship money collected from team contacts is allocated 50% to the team (to reduce fees) and 50% to SPVC to support the entire club. Teams can take advantage of both money raising activities to greatly reduce team fees.
REGISTRATION
- On the website, spvc.ca, choose the REGISTRATION tab
- Complete the document for your age group and submit.
- There is no cost for tryout. Fees are due only if and when an athlete is assigned to an SPVC team.
VOLLEYBALL ALBERTA REGISTRATION for 13U to 18U ONLY
- Go to the VOLLEYBALL ALBERTA website.
- Choose the SPORTLOMO REGISTER tab.
- Choose the SPORTLOMO MEMBERSHIPS - register to Volleyball Alberta
- Choose 2025 YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PLAYER TRYOUT
- Login or create a new user account
- Follow the registration process and pay the initial fee. Once you make a club team YOUR FAMILY will pay your full Volleyball Alberta and Volleyball Canada fees. They are not part of your SPVC club fees for the 2025 club season.
