SPVC 203/24 CLUB VOLLEYBALL SEASON

SPVC executive and coaches are eager to return to club activites for the upcoming season. We plan to offer up to a record 27 teams this season and provide the best quality program possible. We start our season with our Jr. Blizzard program in late October that runs 4 weeks. New this year is our coaches training sessions that last week of November. Our Technical Director will work with all our coaches to promote a common and consistent language for skill learning, defense, and offensive skills. New this season is our OPEN GYM sessions on November 19th for 13U, 14U, and 15U. Athletes just arrive a the gym, meet our coaches and participate in some fun volleyball activities. Andre will meet with parents at the same time and present our program. Tryouts start November 26 and club season starts December 4th.

Competitions:

All SPVC teams will be competing locally, provincially, and Nationally again this year. Volleyball Alberta has presented many competition options this year. We will compete in the province wide stream at all levels.

Practice Sessions:

Each team from 13U to 18U will practice 3 times per week, Jr. Blizzard Elite will train 2 times per week.  There is a shortage of gym space, plus our club is growing so teams may have to travel outside of the City for training.  16U to 18U will also return to team training at the Northwestern Polytechnic High Performance Centre, while 13U to 15U will follow a team based program in the practice gym.
