Lead Deadwood Girls Softball Association

MISSION STATEMENT:

The Lead-Deadwood Girls Softball Association is a non profit organization committed to providing fastpitch programs for all that wish to particicpate. The associations purpose is to teach and educate softball fundamentals by preparing girls to learn and play the game of softball in a fun, healthy and safe environment; emphasizing the importance of respect for teammates, opponents, coaches and officials; teaching life skills through good sportsmanship, leadership, positive coaching, and peer and parent communication and building lasting relationships with good friends. We provide fastpitch softball opportnities for girls (ages 4-18).

It is our goal to have a fun season and to make sure we run a smooth program.

* Players can play up an age division but cannot play in an age division lower than their actual age. For example, a 12 your old player can play in the 14U division, or higher (if it does not pose a safety issue for the player) but may not play in the 10U division.

* LDGSA can not always accommodate "friend requests" on our summer league teams. Most teams continue on year after year and keep the same teams, so if your daughters friend already has a team you most likely wont be paired together. We will make every effort to accommodate your requests. But please understand that it is not always possible.

* LDGSA makes every effort to place players on teams that coincide with their birth year. This is in effort to keep teams together year after year. We believe strong bonds are important in a team and softball family.
