STARskate and PREstar Skate
2024 PRE-STARskate Season. 21 week program. October 20th 2024- March 16th 2024. Cost $600
Each session has one hour of group coached time included. Sessions will be:
Tuesdays: Thorold Arena
4:40-5:00pm- Off Ice
5:10-6:10pm -On Ice
Wednesdays: Canada Games Centre
4:40-5:00pm - Off Ice
6:00-7:00 pm On Ice
Sundays: Canada Games Centre
1:45-2:45pm On Ice
Cost $600

We have moved to the group coaching philosophy for all Star programs. Amanda will be the program director/coach. Private lesson coaches will NOT be permitted on group coached times. All session will be Open sessions for all Star levels. Please do not send payment until conformation is given of acceptance of the program. * All programs are pending enrollment* Each ice time requires an ice resurface. We do NOT control this and please do not reach out regarding the flood times.
Skills, Tests, Achievement, Recognition – this is what STARSkate is all about!
STARSkate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating. Unique in Canada, this program teaches figure skating skills in a group and/or private lesson format in a progressive and sequential manner and includes specifically designed awards and incentives. Skaters have the opportunity to take Skate Canada Tests through a nationally standardized testing system. Skaters who have mastered figure skating skills in STARSkate may also choose to pursue synchronized skating or pairs skating.

Welcome to Thorold Skating Centre! Our history dates back over 74 years, when we first opened our doors to the community. Since then, we have been dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment for skaters of all ages and skill levels. Over the years, we have seen countless skaters grace our ice, from beginners taking their first steps to advanced athletes honing their skills.
