During the first week, we will have a parent/player meeting and equipment hand out - exact dates for this are still being worked on.  This meeting is mandatory for all new players and their families, optional for returning playrs and families (not that a refresher hurts!). FINANCIAL AID

The Kingston Grenadiers Football Club is a registered non-profit organization. Season fees are subsidized by fundraising efforts by board members, parents and coach volunteers.  The season fees are specifically calculated for an individual player, and as a matter of policy, we feel it is unfair for players and their families to pay inflated fees in order to subsidize other players. We have not had a fee increase in over 3 years despite an increase across the board in all operation costs.

Season fees are due at the time of registration and can be paid by credit/debit card (merchant processing fee applies) or by e-transfer. We offer a multi-player family discount, families with two or more players automatically receive a 20% discount off their registration fees.

Unless payment arrangements have been confirmed with the club president, players with outstanding accounts will not be able to participate in club activities. Any registrant who requires a fee assist program will have a spot reserved until confirmation of sponsorship has occurred. If you require financial support to participate:

BINGO VOLUNTEERING: We are members of the Play! Charitable Gaming Association (PCGA) fundraising program, by volunteering to assist the Grenadiers with this year-round initiative, a credit a $50 will be issued to the players account for every shift completed. The volunteer can be the parent, a family member, friend.. as long as they are over the age of 19. Contact us to find out more!

COMMUNITY FUNDING: There are several organizations that offer funding to help cover registration, you can find a listing and links to their website on our Financial Assistance Page. Please be aware, that many Fee Assistance programs require applications be sent in 2 months before the season has begun. Furthermore, some programs will only cover a portion of the total fees, and parents may be required to pay the difference.

#GRENSNATION: That’s us! If you need additional help, please contact us, we are experienced in working with families and players to break down obstacles to achieve a player's highest potential.

GENERAL INFORMATION

COMMUNICATIONS - PLAYERS & PARENTS. Once you have registered, you will receive an invitation to join the Team’s Teamlinkt app. This is our primary ways of communicating with parents and players and get important information to you quickly when it matters (field changes, weather cancellations etc.). From the app, players will be able to message and chat with team members and coaches directly. For parents, any schedule and roster data that is loaded by the Club will be available to you real time. As we get more familiar with this new tool, we will be using it for different things including photo sharing, polls, live game updates and video streams.

ATTENDANCE. Attendance is mandatory for all team scheduled activities (meetings, practice and games). If you need to be excused, we expect that players notify the coaches and team managers through the app and send a private message with the reason for the absence. Attendance is tracked and will factor into depth charts.

EQUIPMENT. Equipment Deposits are required for all players. Equipment provided by Kingston Grenadiers includes a practice pants and jersey, helmet, shoulder pads and knee pads. A $800 deposit is required at the time of equipment pick up by post-dated cheque (Date July 1st 2025) or by completing a credit card PAD form. Equipment deposit will be forfeited if equipment is not returned at the end of the season or when requested by the club.

VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT is required for all Grenadiers families to enhance the game day experience. As such family will be expected to contribute in some way, whether by volunteering for bingo, game day 50/50 draws, canteen hours, gate ticket taker, clean up days, during practice (setting up the fields and making sure water is available), expertise in your professional life – are you photographer, videographer, graphic artist, stats person? If yes, we can use your help. The Volunteer Coordinator records the volunteer hours completed by the parent, a family member, friend (over the age of 16) or the player.
