President

Carron Moore

I have been involved with the GMFA since 2016, as a mom, a volunteer, a coach, and board member. My first experience with football was trying out for my high school football team … in an age when girls didn’t play football!  My coach tried so hard to get permission for me to be on the team but was never able to get it approved. Fast forward 40 years, and I was fortunate to play for the Vipers football team in 2021 … how things have changed! I am a daughter, cousin, sister, wife, mother, aunt … I am a pianist, synchronized swimmer, bobsledder, singer, softballer, artist, triathlete, karateka, boxer, footballer.  I am a seasoned volunteer and coach, having served on many boards over the years. I am excited to continue representing the GMFA and our members.

Treasurer

Anie Langis

As a Trimble teacher, I was first introduced to football at our Homecoming game in 2010. I have learned very quickly how football brings people together and how it creates a sense of belonging and family for many kids in the Greater Moncton area.

Over the last 3 years, I have also had the joy of being a football mom. With my two children playing at different levels and my husband as a coach, I spend most days in the Fall and the Spring at the football field. It brings me so much joy to see my daughter have the chance to play with some of my students. We have made many friends in the last few years and I am looking forward to meeting many new faces.

I am a high school teacher who is passionate about the sport of football and the development of our youth. I played within the GMFA ranks in the early 2000's and then at Harrison Trimble High School. I'm excited at the opportunity to be back as a member of the board of directors for a fourth year. Youth sports is one of the most important things we have in society with regards to positive child development and I'm both greatful and humbled to be able to give back to such a cause.

I am a former 4-year player for the Olympiens de L’Odyssée and current Head Coach of my alma mater. I was part of the coaching staff that brought 1 AA 10-man and 1 AA 12-man provincial championships to the school. To the board of directors, I bring enthusiasm, leadership, and critical thinking and plenty of football knowledge and experience. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with friends and family as well as watching various other sports.

I discovered my interest in fitness and physical well being when I started playing football in grade 9. While in high school, I became All Conference in my senior year. This is when my love of football and passion for fitness opened a world of opportunities. After high school, I continued my career playing for Concordia University Wisconsin, where my team won the 2003 Conference Championship.

After college, I started my coaching career in 2007 at Buckhorn High School in New Market Alabama. There, I was the Grade 9 Defensive Line Coach and Defensive Coordinator. Upon moving to Canada in 2011, I coached at Mount Allison as the Defensive Line Coach. After that, I took a bit of a break until 3 years ago when I started volunteering with the GMFA. Here, I have coached the U10, U12 and will be coaching the U14 age group this year. Most recently, I have been helping with the GMFA Winter Development workouts at all ages. The philosophy I teach my teams is safety first and to focus on small goals in pursuit of the larger goal.

I have recently received my Personal Training Certification and am currently working on finalizing my Strength/Conditioning and Pain Free Performance Specialist certifications. I am very excited for the opportunity to serve on the board and help continue the great success and growth this great sport and the GMFA has seen in the past few years.

I am committed to helping the youth of Greater Moncton learn the great game of football while focusing on Safety, Leadership and Teamwork. My focus is on having lots of fun and learning the skills properly at a young age in preparation for the next level. Of all the sports I have been involved with, football has always provided great lessons that translate later in life and provide opportunity for anyone wanting to be a part of a team. At a time when our youth need people to care, I can think of no better way to give back than through football. I encourage you to consider giving back and to be a positive role model for our many deserving athletes, the rewards are endless!!!

FNB Board Representative

Dennis Ronan

My football life began in 1975 with the Moncton Minor Football Riverview Pee Wee Lions when my family moved to town and new friends got me involved. I was active in other sports with football being my favourite through Bantam Ti-Cats, Varsity, University and still today. With past teammates, I began coaching expansion Riverview Pee Wee Rams after university in the late 1980s, then Riverview Bantam Ti-Cats for several years.

After a coaching hiatus and with permission of my wife Michele, I returned to coach teams my sons Nate & Ben joined. Subsequently, I joined the Board as Riverview Zone Rep and then served as GMFA VP before serving as president in 2019. I am currently representing the interests of the GMFA on the FNB board.

As it can be for our area youth, football has very much been a positive influence throughout my life.

FNB Regional Technical Director

Nick Murray

I began my football journey in 2001 with the Moncton Football Association (now GMFA) Jr Knights after being cut from the Moncton High Soccer team. I immediately fell in love with football for the physical & mental complexity and team dynamics. My playing journey fizzled with the Moncton Marshals and Dartmouth Knights after a highlight of being on the Moncton High School 2002 Provincial Championship roster. Since my coaching debut in 2005 with GMFA Jr Knights, I have been blessed to have been able to coach at Halifax West, Mathieu Martin, and Moncton High Schools, as well as for the Sr Womens Moncton Vipers, and several GMFA bantam programs. My experiences have led me to be a part of several provincial staffs in both the Male and Women & Girls disciplines and I currently hold the role of Football NB U18 Female Provincial team Head Coach. My football journey has led me to even dabble in being on the then Board of Directors working within the fundraising portfolio….for a hot minute.

I take a great deal of pride in helping others grow as coaches and normalizing the behavior of giving the most precious commodity we have…time. Through my day job and role as Director of Programs and Growth for Football NB, I have a unique opportunity to see not only the expansion of football, but take away tips, tricks, and ideas from other regions. Being able to offer my support to the coaches, athletes, officials, and volunteers of the GMFA is just a small token of appreciation to the association that started my journey. From resources to ideas, I am here to support football in the Greater Moncton region. I’m wordy, energetic, social, and love talking….If you see me kicking around please come say hello!
