About Miss Kayle

Kaylee Hickie began dancing with the Melville Dance Association when she was four years old. Starting with Ballet, Miss Kaylee progressed into more genres and styles such as Jazz, Character, Tap, Hip Hop, and Pointe as she grew older. She experienced Musical Theatre, Jazz Funk, Contemporary, and Lyrical in summer workshops throughout the years as well.

As a student, Miss Kaylee began volunteering as a TA in 2019 with classes such as Tiny Tots, Pre-Primary, and Primary Ballet under Miss Debbie’s instruction. Upon high school graduation, Miss Kaylee realized that she was not quite ready to say goodbye to this passion of hers. She simply could not fathom her life without dance in it. Thus resulting in her assisting Miss Debbie in every ballet class offered and filled in as a substitute occasionally while continuing to train her RAD Grade 8 syllabus and even the Rad Intermediate Ballet syllabus. The following year she stepped up as the official instructor for the Tiny Tots, Pre-Primary, and Primary classes and continued to fill in as a substitute as well. This year, Miss Kaylee could not be any more excited to take on more classes. She will be teaching Ballet from Tiny Tots up to Grade 5 and additionally instructing all ages of Hip Hop.

Miss Kaylee is currently an RAD member and registered in the ADAPT Teacher Certification program to pursue further qualifications. Additionally she is studying Hip Hop and Ballet with the Rhee Gold’s DanceLife Company virtually and will be attending the Triple Threat Dance Convention in the fall to participate in classes of her own to increase her personal skills.

Miss Kaylee has always had a passion for sharing her knowledge and teaching young dancers. Passing on and establishing a passion in others hearts is something she holds very dearly. She could not be more thrilled to continue this journey and teach more with the association as an instructor and cannot wait to see her previous dancers, as well as all of the new beginners in this upcoming dance season.
