Miss Kierra
Kierra began dancing with the Melville Dance Association when she was four years old. Her love of dance began with ballet and grew when she explored more genres such as jazz, pointe and character. While a student, she got the opportunity to assist Ms. Debbie with many different classes for 7 years, leading into substituting all disciplines. Kierra’s extensive training as an assistant teacher enabled her to become an instructor of different disciplines.
Miss Kierra completed all of her Royal Academy of Dance exams, completing her Grade 8 ballet examination receiving marks of Distinction. She has attended conventions of many different genres and from different dance professionals, giving her the opportunity to expand and grow within the creative dance world. Kierra continues to grow as an instructor and choreographer by attending instructor workshops and conventions, including the Triple Threat Power Dance Convention this fall!
Miss Kierra is a member of the Royal Academy of Dance and continues to further her studies in the ADAPT and RAD syllabi, as well as various other teaching methods. Her ability to connect with her students and motivate them to believe in themselves leads the students to be successful within the studio as well as beyond! She cherishes being able to share her love of dance with young dancers and seeing them achieve their goals!
Miss Kierra has been the Melville Dance Association jazz instructor for 4 years and is ecstatic to begin her journey of teaching Grade 6, 7 and 8 ballet as well as continue teaching jazz!
