Families that require financial assistance may apply to one of the following programs. Hockey Calgary provides funding only through the Flames Even Strength Program (FESP) application. You will be required to complete your FESP application online and submit it directly to Hockey Calgary. FESP Application
FESP funding for 2023-2024 is set at a maximum of $700.00.

** Please Note ** Some programs deny you the ability to apply for more than one funding resource. Please ensure that you apply for funding through FESP, this is the program that is mandated by Hockey Calgary.
The Flames Even Strength Program helps families cover the cost of hockey registration fees, thanks largely to the title sponsor, the Calgary Flames - Flames Foundation for Life. This program has given away more than $3,200,000.00 to children in need since 1998. Families who want to apply for this funding must complete the online FESP form.
** The application process for the 2025-2026 season will open June 15, 2025, at 2 pm, and the deadline to apply is October 15. If you are approved for financial assistance and require equipment for your player/goalie, you may request assistance through Comrie's Sports Equipment Bank. Anyone who qualifies for the Flames Even Strength Program also qualifies for Flames Sports Equipment Bank. Please contact us at registrar@mcknighthockey.com if you require equipment.
**If you received FESP funding in 2022-2023season you are pre-approved for equipment and can contact Flames Sports Equipment Bank to set up an appointment.
