The Berne Union Rockets volleyball team closed out their regular season in impressive fashion, avenging an early season loss to the Miller Falcons with a 3–1 victory on the road.
The Rockets got off to a slow start, dropping the opening set 25–19 to the Falcons. In the second set, both teams battled point for point, but Berne Union showed grit and determination, pulling out a hard-fought 27–25 win to even the match.
Momentum swung completely in the Rockets’ favor in the third set, as they dominated with a commanding 25–12 victory to take a 2–1 lead. In the fourth and final set, Berne Union stayed composed in another tight contest, sealing the match with a 25–21 win.
Abby Pugh led the Rockets from the service line with 6 aces. Miranda Daley had an outstanding all-around performance, recording 11 kills and 27 digs. Sierra Scanlan paced the offense with 9 assists.
With the win, the Rockets finished their regular season at 8–13 overall and 7–7 in league play, building momentum as they head into postseason competition.
