The Berne Union volleyball team picked up a key league win on Thursday night, defeating Bishop Rosecrans in straight sets, 25-18, 26-24, and 25-19.
Senior standout Miranda Daley had a stellar all-around performance, leading the Rockets with 5 aces, 10 kills, and 12 digs. Zuri Duncan provided a strong presence at the net and on defense, recording 3 aces, 7 kills, 2 blocks, and 7 digs. Lena Riggenbach contributed 2 aces and 9 digs, while Sierra Scanlan set the pace offensively with 10 assists.
With the victory, the Rockets evened their league record at 4-4 and improved to 5-8 overall on the season.
Berne Union will look to keep the momentum going when they return home to face a very talented Racine Southern squad on September 22.
