Rockets Sweep Harvest Prep in MSL Play

The Berne Union Rockets volleyball team bounced back in impressive fashion Tuesday night, sweeping Harvest Prep in three sets during Mid-State League Cardinal Division action.

The Rockets battled through a tight opening set to edge the Warriors 25-23 before taking control of the match. Berne Union rolled to a 25-10 victory in the second set and closed things out with a 25-16 win in the third.

Caroline McGowan was dominant from the service line, recording 9 aces. At the net, Zuri Duncan powered the offense with 10 kills, while Miranda Daley added 12 kills to lead the attack. On the defensive end, Sierra Scanlan anchored the back row, finishing the night with 23 digs.

With the victory, the Rockets improved to 4-4 overall and 3-2 in MSL Cardinal Division play. Berne Union will look to keep the momentum going on Thursday, September 11, when they travel to face a talented Fisher Catholic squad.
