THE ALAN PANG FUND
The Alan Pang Fund is a resource that may be able to provide financial support. Alan was a dedicated member of Markham District Baseball, contributing for many years as a House League Coach, Select Coach and Rep Coach. He was always willing to step in wherever help was needed and truly embodied what MDBA stands for.
Alan tragically passed away from a heart attack while skating at Nathan Phillips Square in 2012. In his memory, this fund was established to help players who may not otherwise be able to afford to participate in baseball, ensuring more kids have the opportunity to play the game he loved.
Applicants must:
* Demonstrate a strong desire to participate in organized baseball
* Demonstrate financial need, which includes eligibility for Jumpstart or Kidsport or other financial aid programs, significiant family financial obligations, or other documented economic challenges
The Markham District Baseball Association is committed to expanding access and opportunity for student-athletes to excel in baseball, both on and off the field. Through intentional investment, mentorship, and financial support, we aim to remove barriers, foster leadership, and ensure that talent and determination are met with opportunity.
