"More than just rec cheer"

At GYFC we know that our athletes can do more & we expect that of them. When your athlete becomes  a Commander, they committ to hard work, fun, & dedication. Through our structured practices, your child will build a strong foundation of cheerleading fundamentals along with learning the importance of teamwork, committment, & independence. We encourage our athletes to take responsibility for themselves & understand that they are part of a team. Our coaches strive to develop athletes in a fun, positive environment while still providing structure & discipline.

We teach a blend of traditional & rhythmic cheerleading with a focus on motions, jumps, stunts, & basic tumbling.

Registration  for our regular season opens Super Bowl Sunday, February 9,2025

Age Divisions: (subject to change depending on registration  numbers)
4-5 years Mascots
6-8 years Mini-Mites
9-10 years Mighty-Mites
11-12 years PeeWees
13-14 6th grade team
Cheerleaders must be within these age requirements as of 8/1 of the current year to participate

Co-Ed Cheerleading
Per EWFL Cheerleading Rules, each age division can have 3 boys on their cheer team. Cheerleading is for everybody.

Practices Tuesdays & Thursdays
Games on Saturdays

In order to achieve more parents & athletes must committ to attend all practices & games. We often get asked about learning stunts, we cannot learn stunts without everyone present. We want to take our program to new heights this season, please join us in our effor by committing to attend all practices & games. If you are going to miss practice, you must tell your coach in advance so we can plan appropriately.

Skill Clinics
New in 2025  GYFC will be offering Skill-specific Clinics.
Clinic cost will be dependent on location in order to cover facility rental cost.

In an effot to serve our families while still being good financial stewards, we are introducing registraion tiers in 2025. Our Emerald Tier includes the loan  of everything your athlete needs, except cheer shoes, & base layer.

Parents are required to purchase white cheer shoes of their choice, black practice shorts,  black boyshorts or bike shorts to be worn under uniform, & white long sleeves to be worn under uniforms in the colder months.

all commanders cheer coaches are stunt-safety certified &  background checked.
