coaching information

Coaching is the #1 way you can volunteer to help with soccer! Please consider volunteering to coach your child's team!

No previous coaching experience is necessary, and you do not need to be a soccer expert. The time commitment will be 1-2 hours per week. We need a minimum of one coach per team. If we have enough coaches, we can also assign you a co-coach for your team! All coaches will also be provided with a complimentary BBQ lunch at the Season-end Tournament and Windup on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

To volunteer as a coach, please select "Yes" to the coaching question on your child's player registration! You can also email centralzonesoccer@gmail.com with any questions or to volunteer to coach/co-coach. Thank you!

Coaching Clinic
We will be holding a free 1-hour coaching clinic on Sunday, April 12, 2026 with University of Regina soccer coach, Astrid Baeker, and invite all volunteer coaches (and prospective volunteer coaches!) to join us to learn some soccer drills and skills to share with their players.

The coaching clinics will be held from 1:00 - 2:00pm and from 2:00 - 3:00pm, based on the age division you will be coaching. Coaches will be contacted with the clinic time & location  for their division.

Equipment
Coaches will also be invited to pick up their team jerseys and equipment prior to the season beginning. If you cannot pick up your equipment, arrangements will be made to get it to you!
