YYC Elite League – Season 1 Recap & Winter Session Victory!
What an incredible ride it’s been! The YYC Elite League kicked off in style and has officially crowned its first-ever champions, with unforgettable moments from start to finish. From epic wins to tough losses, Team Adam made history as the first team to etch their names on the trophy!
But hold up… the action didn’t stop there! Our second session and first-ever winter league wrapped up with a thrilling, high-intensity showdown. After battling it out through heart-stopping matches, Team Mark claimed victory in a nail-biting final against Team Alec! And just like that, Team Mark will forever be etched onto the trophy, marking their place in YYC Elite League history!
Huge shoutout to all our players, who brought the heat and made this season a success. Your dedication and sportsmanship are what made this league a true gem for all, especially for those who don’t always have a chance to play in leagues or tournaments throughout the year. You all crushed it, and we can’t wait for more!

League Overview:
This season, matches will take place Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 – 9:00 PM, allowing flexibility for players who compete in weekend tournaments or travel. The goal remains the same: to strengthen the YYC tennis community while bringing together the highest-level players (5.0+) in a competitive, team-based format.
YYC Elite League fee (This fee is charged to your credit card on file when matches are at Osten and Victor)
$25.00 for both singles and doubles
$18.00 for either singles or doubles
CTC Guest Fee (This fee is paid at CTC when matches are hosted at the Calgary Tennis Club courts).
$20.00 guest fee for when playing the league matches at CTC
We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with the Calgary Tennis Club (CTC) to offer more outdoor play this summer. Long-term, we aim to host the entire summer league on outdoor courts.

Team Format:
We’re looking for 4 captains to draft their teams from the registered player pool as this season there will be fewer teams, as we are trying to see what the transition to outdoors will look like. As for this season, we only have 2 outdoor courts when running the league outdoors, and 4 indoor courts when running the league indoors.
You may register as a captain or as a free agent.
Captains are responsible for organizing a full lineup each week, maintaining communication with their team and/or Brandon or Daniel. If a player can’t attend, captains must find a substitute (a sub-list will be provided to the captains of the players that have not been initially drafted)

Wednesday, August 6 – Semi-Finals at Osten and Victor (Indoors)
