As we launch a new season of the YYC Elite League, we’re excited about where this league is headed and the momentum we’ve built together. What started as a vision to create a high-level, competitive team environment for Calgary’s top players has quickly grown into something special — and this is only the beginning.

To every player who competed: thank you. Your commitment, professionalism, and passion made this a true success. You helped build a competitive space for high-level athletes — especially those who may not always have access to consistent league or tournament play throughout the year.

Looking Ahead: The Next Chapter 

Exciting Changes for the Upcoming Elite League Season

After carefully evaluating court availability, tournament schedules, and the challenges of securing consistent court time throughout the summer, we've decided to make some exciting changes to the YYC Elite League.

Rather than rushing the season, we're taking this opportunity to expand and improve the league experience. Our updated format will feature:

• More teams
• More matches throughout the season
• A longer, more competitive schedule
• Increased opportunities for players to compete and develop

Our goal is to create the best possible experience for everyone involved. We are currently working with our facility partners to finalize court bookings and scheduling.

The season is now expected to begin in September or October 2026 and will run through May 2027. Final dates, match schedules, and the player draft will be announced once all details have been confirmed.

We appreciate your patience and continued support as we build an even stronger Elite League.

Our Mission

With stronger competition, returning rivalries, and new talent entering the mix, we continue to raise the standard of team-based competitive tennis in Calgary.

Our mission remains to:

• Strengthen the YYC tennis community.
• Provide consistent, high-level match play opportunities.
• Create a competitive team environment for 5.0 and OPEN players.

Match Days

The full league schedule, including match days and the Championship Match, will be released once court bookings have been finalized.

League Fees

Registration is OPEN.

To be eligible for the player draft, all participants must have an active credit card on file at Osten & Victor (club membership is not required).

Match fees will be charged to the credit card on file following each match day, with the exception of the Championship Match, which will be hosted at Calgary Tennis Club (CTC).

League Fees

• $30.00 – Players competing in both Singles and Doubles on the same match day
• $23.00 – Players competing in one event only

Captains are encouraged to build lineups that allow players to compete in both Singles and Doubles whenever possible, maximizing both match play opportunities and team contribution.

Registration

Registration will open in September

Although the player draft and official schedule have been postponed while we finalize the expanded league format, we encourage players to register when the registration opens; remember, this is a long commitment. 

We're excited about the future of the YYC Elite League and look forward to delivering our biggest and most competitive season yet.
