CRIMINAL RECORD/VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK PROCESS
(Effective October 2025)
As per WMHA Policy #007:
- To ensure the safety of all players, all team personnel registered with Hockey Saskatchewan in a formal capacity with any team, will be subject to either a criminal record check (CRC) or criminal record check/vulnerable sector check (CRC/VSC)
- WMHA requires that the CRC/VSC must be done every three years
- Standard on-ice volunteers only require a CRC, not the VSC
Previously, all personnel requiring a CRC/VSC would obtain a letter from WMHA that they could take to the Warman RCMP detachment for them to perform the check. That process has now changed for the Association and individuals will now submit that information to WMHA.
For anyone requiring a CRC or CRC/VSC:
- For CRC, download a copy of the form at the link below
- For CRC/VSC, download a copy of the form at the link below (just download the CRC/VSC form, not both)
- Bring the paper copies to the WMHA office along with 2 pieces of government issued ID (one has to be a photo ID); WMHA will photocopy the ID to go along with your application
- WMHA will take in the bulk collection to the Warman RCMP detachment for processing and the results will be sent directly to WMHA
CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK FORM (CRC)
CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK/VULNERABLE SECTOR FORM (CRC/VSC)
The deadline for submitting CRC/VSC checks to WMHA will be November 1 of the calendar year but it is recommended you submit as early as possible.
If paperwork has not been submitted to WMHA by November 1, personnel will be held off the ice/bench until received.
