New for '25/'26, Hockey Manitoba has introduced regional development teams:
- U11 Development Program
- U13 Development Program
- U15 Development Program
In addition to development programs in the 3 age groups above, there will be a Rural U13 AA league in which regional teams will play. Each region will operate and manage their own programs - please contact each region diretly for further information.

The Regional Development Pilot Project is committed to making hockey a place where every child feels welcome and valued. With that at the front of our minds, the program will focus on three core principles:
1 – No athlete will be cut from the program
2 – Every athlete will be welcomed and made to feel that they belong and are a part of the program.3 – The focus of the program is on development, growth and participation for all athletes – regardless of their starting point.
