When did you start skiing?
Around sixth grade, but not much after until high school.
Where and how much have you raced?
I started racing NASTAR about once a year in sixth grade. A group of us started a ski club in high school my junior year and I raced my junior and senior year in high school.
In 2005 I joined the Double Diamond Race League adult league and have been racing for the last 19 years. I have also raced for three years in the Granite Peak Ski Team adult race league. Both groups have participated in the Midwest Race League and their championship races.
I began racing Slalom, Giant Slalom, and Super G in the USSA Master central division about nine years ago and I participate as when I can each season.
NASTAR is an activity I have been participating in for a long time and I have attended too many races to count. I have also been a NASTAR pacesetter for multiple years.
All these diverse groups have allowed me to race in multiple states, at different venues, such as Mt. La Crosse, Chestnut, Sundown, Granite Peak, Devil’s Head, Cascade, Trollhaugen, and in Colorado, Minnesota and the UP.
