TORA (Regional Development Program)

TORA represents the Thompson Okanagan Rugby Union’s regional high‑performance program for junior athletes. TORA serves as the bridge between club / high school rugby and provincial selection, ensuring Okanagan athletes have access to competitive development opportunities without leaving their home region.

Purpose of the TORA Program

• Identify and develop talented junior players from Okanagan clubs and schools.
• Provide high‑quality coaching, training environments, and competition.
• Prepare athletes for BC Rugby’s Provincial Regional Championships (PRCs).
• Act as the primary selection pool for BC Bears age‑grade teams.

Who TORA Serves

Players from Okanagan clubs including Penticton, Kelowna, UBCO, Vernon, Salmon Arm, Kamloops, Merritt and Barriere.
