Hours of Work: 3 hours/week admin (14 weeks), 8 hrs per week game nights (10 weeks)

Position Description

 

Roller Hockey Lethbridge is seeking a dedicated and organized League Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our league. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for roller hockey.

Job Duties:

 
  • Manage TeamLinkt App population of players/teams (once teams/coaches are selected)
  • Draw up league schedule and populate TeamLinkt App
  • Schedule referees (in coordination with the head referee) and coordinate payment
  • Schedule and manage off-surface officials, and coordinate payment
  • Schedule goalies for all league games
  • Liaise with coaches to ensure equipment is available at each rink when needed
  • Be present at league venues to coordinate officials, organize volunteers, connect with parents, and respond to issues as they arise (this may include traveling between venues on the same night)

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to think on your feet in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable talking in small groups with athletes, parents, and volunteers
  • Love of quality sport experiences and desire to create and foster play
  • Basic knowledge of the sport of hockey (nice to have)
  • Proficient in MS Office/Google Workspace

Requirements:

 
  • Own transportation
  • Own a Laptop/Desktop computer with an internet connection
  • Own a cellphone

Term of appointment

  • April 1st, 2025 through July 4th, 2025
  • Up to 3 hrs per week administration (14 weeks)
  • 4 hours/per night on game nights - Tuesdays and Wednesdays (April 29th through July 2nd)
 

Remuneration

  • $30/hr
  • Maximum of 3 hours/week admin (14 weeks), 8 hrs per week game nights (10 weeks)
  • $25/month cell phone allowance ($75 total)
  • $25/month home internet allowance ($75 total)
  • $50/season travel allowance (between venues)
