Peterborough Thunder house League program
August 30th UPDATE!
Please see the following update for all athletes and families currently registered or on the waitlist for a space in our house league program:
Heading into September, here is what you need to know:
- Early Sept: Team Assignment and schedules will be released
- After Sept 16: Waitlisted athletes will be notified if spots open
- Sept 21: Practices start (Teams will practice on either Tuesdays or Thursdays)
- Sept 26: Gameplay days start Saturday mornings at Crestwood, until December 12th

Peterborough Thunder Volleyball Club offers a house league program each year in the fall. Please check our website and Facebook Page this summer for key updates, including announcement of planned registration dates and house league season updates. The Program is based on sound Ontario Volleyball Long Term Athlete Development Principles.
While most major volleyball clubs across Ontario focus only on delivering a competitive club volleyball program, the primary goal of the Peterborough Thunder Volleyball Club is to instill a love of the sport in as many of our youth in the Peterborough area as possible, and through that, build and maintain a competitive and successful club.
To this end, the Peterborough Thunder House League program was started in 2006 and is a key component of our ‘grass roots’ program. Girls and Boys between the ages of 10-15 are taught the skills of volleyball and exposed to game situations.
We are looking for volunteer coaches for our fall house league season. New for the 2026 year: Parents who identify interest on the registration form and are willing to volunteer will have thir child prioritized for registration, including from those that may be on the Waitlist!
